Our fun, relaxing childbirth preparation classes will help prepare you and your partner for the events of labor and birth. We recommend taking these classes after 28 weeks.
This class will provide a comprehensive overview of the birth process including signs and stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, pain management options and the birthing experience. While the focus of the class is on natural pregnancy and birth, information provided will also be useful for mothers who require medical interventions or plan on having an epidural during labor and delivery. Our goal is to increase your confidence and reduce anxiety about the birthing process.
Even for women who are planning natural childbirth, unexpected things happen and it’s important to be flexible. This class will cover interventions commonly used in labor and birth, complications, medications, epidurals and C-sections. This class will also provide an introduction to the Turner Neonatal Intensive Care Pavilion. Our goal is to provide you with the information necessary to make informed decisions and minimize your fears.
