A heart for Hamilton. Our donors are our partners in everything we do. Your compassion and generosity drive us. You care about the people of northwest Georgia. You care about investing in the future. Hamilton was formed by caring citizens in response to the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, and as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic 100 years later, we must respond again. Throughout our history, bold visionaries have affirmed “why not here” and have shaped Hamilton Health Care System into what it is becoming today. Our philanthropic history guides us as we take heart care to the next level. We are creating a center of excellence driven by people of excellence. We’re on the cusp of a new age of physician specialists, medical technologies, and innovative therapies in heart care. Together, we can shape the future of Hamilton and northwest Georgia. And if we can, we must. You can be our catalyst. Take heart, we’re here.
We don’t have a moment to waste. Please help us revolutionize heart care. Can we count on you?
The Whitfield Healthcare Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation chartered in 1975 by community visionaries to provide fundraising support for Hamilton Health Care System. Whitfield Healthcare Foundation serves as the bridge of support between the hospital and the healthcare needs of our community. The Foundation supports advances and excellence in health care for our families, friends, and neighbors, believing that investments in healthcare are an investment in our community and region.
Through the work of its Trustees, the Foundation builds relationships with those individuals, businesses, and foundations capable of making charitable contributions. Funds are allocated for facilities, equipment, staffing and programs that enhance patient care, promote health education, provide access to care regardless of the ability to pay, and improve the quality of life in our region. Funds also are retained as an endowment for future healthcare needs.
The Foundation is located on the Hamilton Medical Center campus in the Norman D. Burkett Building.
