Hamilton Health Care System Awards and Recognition
Hamilton Medical Center is surveyed every three years. The Joint Commission sends a team of surveyors, unannounced, to a facility to follow patients from admission to discharge. Each surveyor on The Joint Commission team specializes in one area and focuses on the patient experience in that given area. The goal of The Joint Commission and its accreditation process is to give assurance to patients, customers, families, and employers by evaluating the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the standards implemented at individual hospitals and offices. The team evaluates every aspect of care at the facility to ensure it is in compliance with their standards.
