Hamilton Medical Center is committed to providing the highest quality of care. We believe every patient and their companion has the right to communicate effectively and easily when it comes to their health care. If you are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or a non-English speaking patient or companion, we provide free access to auxiliary aids and interpretation services, including sign language, oral interpreters, TTYs, and amplified hearing devices.
Hamilton employs Spanish interpreters who have completed specialized education for medical interpretation. Additionally, a video remote interpreting (VRI) service provides instant, live interpretation for over 200 languages, including American Sign Language, for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. The VRI service is available on demand 24 hours a day seven days week.
Please let us know if you have interpretation needs by calling Interpretation Services at 706.272.6417 or ask any health care team member to request an interpreter. For additional questions or assistance, please contact the ADA Program Administrator, Mark Watanabe, at email@example.com.
