If you’re 65 and planning to retire soon or if you’re helping a parent or grandparent with insurance decisions, you should consider attending a free seminar on Medicare and Social Security at the Brown Conference Center (off Broadrick Drive, behind Judd Cancer Center) at Hamilton Medical Center (HMC). The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20.

 

Sharrell McKnight, GeorgiaCares coordinator at the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission, will talk about Medicare from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.

 

Alicia Lipscomb, public affairs specialist for the Georgia Area Director’s Office of the Social Security Administration, will speak on Social Security from 5 to 6 p.m.
