Y. Grant Kim, MD, MPH, FACC

September 9, 2021

Dr. Kim is a board-certified interventional and structural cardiologist at Hamilton Physician Group-Cardiology in Dalton, Georgia. He attended medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Yale School of Medicine and then further trained in structural heart disease at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

In his spare time, Dr. Kim plays multiple musical instruments and played the violin in the Yale-New Haven Medical Symphony and string quartet. He also enjoys woodworking, hiking, and playing golf.

Dr. Kim’s patient care philosophy is to care for the patient and focus on his or her needs first. “As a doctor who performs procedures, I genuinely value building close relationships and laughing with my patients while providing the best care I can.”

He chose to serve as an interventional cardiologist because he values being part of a field that continues to grow and evolve. “All of our treatments and procedures feature the latest advances in science and technology. With the excellent team at Hamilton, we perform complex heart procedures safely and provide the very best care for our patients.”

Richard C. Morrison, MD

November 27, 2020

Dr. Richard Morrison has been a renowned and respected leader in cardiothoracic surgery care in the greater Chattanooga area for over thirty years. Always intrigued by science, especially anatomy and physiology, a career in medicine seemed a logical choice. After beginning the journey towards becoming a physician the challenging, complex, and precise anatomy of cardiac surgery drew his interest.

A Tennessee native, he attended medical school at the East Tennessee State University College of Medicine from 1970 to 1974 where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He completed his Internship in 1977 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as an Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society member and completed General Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Chattanooga at the Baroness Erlanger Hospital from 1977 to 1982. He then completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship in New York at Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was the Chief Cardiothoracic Resident.
