Dr. Turner is from Northwest Georgia. She received her medical degree from Des Moines University in Iowa, then completed her pediatric residency training at LSU-HSC Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is passionate about preventative pediatrics, and her practice philosophy is grounded in evidence-based medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, baking, and photography.

Dr. Maxwell was born and raised around the Chattanooga area, earned his medical degree at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and completed his Pediatrics residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Children’s Hospital of Richmond in Richmond, VA, in 2023. He practices preventative medicine with an evidence-based approach with a focus on mental health.
Outside of the office, Dr. Maxwell enjoys video and tabletop gaming, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Erica, two children, Sydney and Jack, and their pets, Arwen, Stormy, and Ember.

Dr. Turner specializes in adult cancer and hematology disorders. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville, Virginia, and his medical oncology/hematology fellowship training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Turner practiced medical oncology in Calhoun, Georgia, for fifteen years before joining Hamilton.

Emily Brandt, MD is a board-certified Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician at Anna Shaw Children’s Institute in Dalton, GA. Dr. Brandt specializes in attention disorders, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral and developmental challenges, and more. Lisa A. Duhaime, MD is a board-certified oncologist at Peeples Cancer Institute in Dalton, GA. She received her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. She completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich., and a fellowship at H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Joseph Veys, MD
Dr. Joseph Veys was born in Buffalo, NY. He was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was a valedictorian and National Merit Scholar at Sycamore High School. He graduated from M.I.T. in 1995 with a BS in biology, receiving the Hodges Prize for outstanding thesis. Dr. Veys earned his MD in 1999 from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. He then did a urology residency in Winston-Salem, NC at Wake Forest University, where he received the 2003 Gold Award in Clinical Sciences for his research on kidney cancer.
Charles Idom, Jr., MD
Dr. Charles B. Idom Jr. grew up in a small town in East Texas. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in physics as an undergraduate and a Masters of Science in physics from the University of Mississippi in 1989. Dr. Idom obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1994. He completed his internship and residency at the Department of Surgery and Urology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.
