Studying the physiology of the endocrine system seemed like the most interesting thing to me.” In his spare time, Dr. Peñaherrera enjoys watching movies with his family, watching and playing soccer, as well as playing the guitar and the ukulele.

Dr. Turner specializes in adult cancer and hematology disorders. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville, Virginia, and his medical oncology/hematology fellowship training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Turner practiced medical oncology in Calhoun, Georgia, for fifteen years before joining Hamilton.
