Hamilton Health Care System and Hamilton Medical Center, for over 90 years of services to this community, have provided high quality, patient care programs evidenced by high rankings from The Joint Commission and numerous awards from the American Hospital Association, Georgia Hospital Association and Press Ganey. This is due to the commitment Hamilton has to excellence in patient and residential care services. This commitment will never change.
The ability for the System to have capital funds available in the future, in order to maintain a progressive health care delivery system with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained and competent staff, it requires that adequate operating margins be achieved. The operating margins combined with philanthropy provide the resources to sustain the future capital investment to meet health care needs in the region.
The operating margin in the current health care environment is not expected to produce sufficient capital over the long-term for the level of capital expenditures. Additional debt financing provides the shortfall; however, the Foundation’s philanthropic support is critical to reducing the reliance on debt.
Hamilton is dedicated to providing services which advance the quality and dignity of life while managing resources in a manner that promotes community trust and assures continued financial viability. This can only be accomplished through a collaborative partnership with trustees, physicians, employees and our community.
