Faculty, staff, and administration are committed to maximizing resident growth by serving as enthusiastic teachers, advisers, and mentors in a diverse learning environment to prepare residents for all career aspects of Family Medicine with a particular focus on community-based leadership.
1. To prepare resident for clinical excellence in primary care across the lifespan of the patient.
2. To promote an understanding of the social determinants of health and the process of advocacy for all patients.
3. To promote an understanding of the healthcare system as a whole and to provide tools to promote the goals of continuous improvement for the residents within that system.
4. To prepare the resident for the provision of care for all roles within the sphere of Family Medicine.
