Champion care to children and families for happy, healthy lives.
With design elements inspired by the style of a treehouse, the Institute is located in a serene environment reflective of the natural beauty that exists in our region. Families and their children can receive diagnoses, treatment, and support all under one roof.
Cognitive, psychological, and developmental evaluations will be completed at the Institute to assess each child’s skill set and identify appropriate therapy services to maximize the child’s development. Available therapy for children includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/feeding therapy. Psychological services assist children and families through individual counseling, family counseling, and behavioral support services such as Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy or ABA. ABA Therapy is an individualized approach based on behavior principles focusing on increasing skill deficits and decreasing maladaptive behaviors. ABA uses science and evidence-based practices to study human behavior. ABA therapy can help increase language, communication, and social skills while decreasing unwanted or undesirable behaviors impeding daily lives. ABA has become the standard of care for the early intervention treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. There is currently no cure for Autism Spectrum Disorder, but research has shown early intervention is able to reduce many symptoms and improve skill deficits. A care navigator, social worker, and educational resource coordinator support families through and beyond the diagnostic and treatment processes.
