Hamilton Vascular Center develops treatment plans for those with vascular disease. Treatments include lifestyle changes, medication, and if needed, surgical procedures to repair an aneurysm or restore blood flow.

Vascular diseases include:
Aortic Aneurysms: An aortic aneurysm can happen when an area of the abdominal aorta or thoracic aorta weakens and bulges out causing an aneurysm. Over time, the area can further weaken and rupture.
Peripheral Artery Disease: Peripheral artery disease happens when plaque builds up inside the blood vessels causing a condition called atherosclerosis. This reduces blood flow to major arteries in the body, commonly causing Lower Extremity Disease, Carotid Artery Disease, and/or Renal Artery Stenosis.

Built at a cost of $75,000, Hamilton Memorial Hospital, with its Spanish-style stucco finish and tile roof, opened to public acclaim in May 1921, with a capacity of 42 beds.

HHCS Affiliates
Hamilton Health Care System is a comprehensive, nonprofit health care system that serves as the parent corporation for seven affiliate organizations.
Whitfield Healthcare Foundation is a philanthropic organization with a mission to encourage charitable gifts that support and advance the quality of health care provided by Hamilton Health Care System. Contributed gifts are allocated to enhance patient care, promote health education, and improve the quality of life in the region.
Hamilton Emergency Medical Services operates through a contract with Whitfield County to manage emergency rescue services. Hamilton EMS is designated by the State of Georgia as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support service.
Royal Oaks is a retirement community, which offers residential living apartments that appeal to seniors seeking an active social environment with a quality, maintenance-free lifestyle. The Gardens at Royal Oaks provides apartments for persons seeking assisted living services.
HLTC provides access to long-term care services. HLTC owns Regency Park, Ridgewood Manor, Quinton Memorial, and Wood Dale Health and Rehabilitation skilled nursing centers.
Whitfield Commons, with 40 apartment homes, is operated exclusively to provide housing to seniors and handicapped persons on lower fixed incomes.
Whitfield Place operates 48 apartment homes. Like Whitfield Commons, Whitfield Place is operated exclusively to provide housing to seniors and handicapped persons on lower fixed incomes.
Included under Hamilton Medical Center are Bradley Wellness Center, Hamilton Home Health, Hamilton Hospice, Hamilton Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Hamilton Physician Group.
