HEMS is designated by the State of Georgia as an Advanced Life Support service that serves approximately 104,000 residents in Whitfield County, and the many others that commute through 291 square miles. HEMS responds to over 15,000 911 calls and approximately 2500 NET calls per year.
Hamilton Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) recently received awards for going above and beyond the call of duty in patient care and contributing to the enhancement of emergency medical care. The awards were presented at the Northwest Georgia EMS/Region 1 awards banquet held at the Clarence Brown Convention Center in Cartersville.
