Hamilton Medical Center recently received the Target Award for its Summer 2015 issue of Hamilton Health Magazine. The magazine was recognized at the Gold level in the External Newsletters and Magazines category.
Target Awards are given out annually at the Georgia Hospital Association’s Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (GSHMPR) Annual conference. This year, Georgia hospitals submitted entries in 26 public relations and design categories, ranging from social media marketing to print advertising.
The Summer 2015 issue of Hamilton Health includes a feature on Hamilton Sports Medicine’s certified athletic trainers and the area athletes they serve. Among the publication’s other topics were Hamilton’s NICU, the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, substance abuse, lung cancer screenings and summer safety.
Entries were judged by the Kentucky Society for Public Relations and Marketing and were based on creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
Hamilton Health is a quarterly publication distributed throughout the community to residents of Whitfield, Murray, and Gordon counties as well as area medical practices. Issues of the magazine, including the Summer 2015 issue, can be found at hamiltonhealth.com/Hh_mag.
