Healing Wounds, Improving Lives

Hamilton Medical Center (HMC) opened its dedicated outpatient Wound Care Center in December 2007.

Located in the Medical Arts Building, at 1109 Burleyson Road, Suite 102, in Dalton, the Center began Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatment in October 2009.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and no referral is necessary to be seen.

Center Welcomes Dr. Michael Hartley to the Team

Michael C. Harley, MD is a vascular surgeon, adding his vascular expertise to the overall treatment of wound care. Vascular issues are often the reason that wounds don't heal properly. Hartley's experience offers a streamlined process in assessing why a wound doesn't heal.

Hartley also specializes in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy – a treatment in which the patient breathes 100% oxygen at pressures greater than normal atmosphere. This process stimulates healing by increasing oxygen supply to the wound, promoting the formation of new blood vessels, and decreasing the chance of infection.
