DALTON, GA . . . The Whitfield Healthcare Foundation invites all
women in our community to celebrate Fall with friends and co-workers and
step out to attend the upcoming Wellspring for Women luncheon program,
entitled “Happy Fee = Happy Girl” on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at The Farm, 187 S.
Goosehill Road, Rocky Face.
“Taking care of your feet is important to your overall health”, says Sharon Love, Foundation Director. “According to a recent survey by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Association (AOFAS), more than three-fourths of women have some kind of foot pain”. “Although an increase in standing or walking may be the cause, the culprit is often ill-fitting shoes. And, as women age, our feet tend to spread and lose the fatty pads that cushion the bottom of our feet”, says Love.
The luncheon program includes a raffle and silent auction, followed by a buffet lunch and shoe fashion show presented by Unique Selections and The Walking Company, and an educational presentation by local podiatrist, Dr. Spencer Misner, who will share his expertise on helping you make good choices for your feet and ankle care.
Cost of the luncheon is $30. Each registered guest will receive a gift bag of foot lotion and a pair of Sockwell “circulator” graduated compression socks donated by Sockwell. Call the Foundation office at 706-272-6128 to register or by email at email@example.com.
