Hamilton to hold women's event - Thursday, April 17th

DALTON, Ga. – Hamilton Medical Center’s (HMC) annual “For Her” women’s event will combine varied aspects of health and wellness with some pampering. The event is free.

“For Her” is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Northwest Georgia Trade & Convention Center.

Screenings will include:

cholesterol, glucose, thyroid and blood pressure checks, Hamilton Medical Center; vision, Professional Eye Associates; spine, Dr. Janet Rochon; skin check, Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Center; body fat percentage, Bradley Wellness Center; vein, Hamilton Vascular Care; and OptoGait (optical sensors used to detect gait space and time parameters to help correct deficiencies and postural problems), Spine Health and Sport.  

Other services or products that will be provided at the event include:

chair massage, Professional Wellness; recipe and nutrition information; registered dieticians; hair styling, Tease Salon; nail painting, Georgia Beauty Academy; hand paraffin wax, The Spa Room at Tease Salon; and jewelry, Premier Jewelry.

Some screenings and services may have limited availability.

Food and chances to win door prizes will also be part of the event.

“We designed For Her to combine relaxation and fun with important health information and screenings,” said Jennifer Johnson, community outreach manager for Hamilton. “It’s a win-win for women in our community.”
