DALTON, Ga. (Nov. 27, 2013) – Hamilton Medical Center (HMC) recently finished its yearlong Imaging renovation project.

A new reception space was designed, providing a noticeable entrance to Imaging Services.

The reception area is one of the best outcomes for our department,” said Stan Casteel, director of Imaging Services. “This new and attractive area makes it much easier for visitors and patients to find us.”

Nuclear Medicine moved into a renovated and spacious area near the Emergency Department. It now has two camera rooms, an updated technologist work area, new hot lab and patient waiting room.

Ultrasound staff members have a newly renovated space with two new larger procedure rooms, a technologist work area and extra storage space.

In addition, the renovation resulted in a new staff lounge with locker space for the associates as well as new office spaces for the radiologists and the administrative staff.

The renovation and upgrades help us to attract the best radiologists, cardiologists and vascular surgeons to practice at HMC,” said E.C. Strickland, MD, medical director for Imaging Services. “It’s a top priority that we have the latest, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to continue to provide outstanding care for patients in our community.”
