DALTON, Ga. – Do you want to find out how to make your holiday recipes more healthy?
The Hamilton Diabetes and Nutrition Center will offer “Healthy Holidays,” a free healthy holiday cooking class, on Friday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Medical Center Mensa (on the service level, next to the cafeteria entrance).
John Brogdon, Hamilton Medical Center chef, will teach participants how to cook a healthy side dish. Samples will be available. Elayna Roberts, registered dietician for Hamilton Diabetes and Nutrition Center, will talk about how to modify holiday recipes to decrease calories. “The season of overindulgence is upon us,” said Roberts. “Come and learn ways to lighten up traditional favorites and get tips for navigating holiday meals.”
