Hamilton to hold heart health event - Thursday, Feb 27th

DALTON, Ga.- Screenings, seminars, breakfast or lunch, nutrition samples and prizes will be part of Hamilton Medical Center’s Hamilton Heart Healthy event on Thursday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northwest Georgia Trade & Convention Center. The event is free. 

The screenings will include cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure. Heart health information will also be provided.

Participants will receive a free tote and opportunities to win door prizes from Bradley Wellness Center, Academy Sports and Kroger, as well as massage therapy certificates and other prizes.

The event will also include free chair massages and a DJ. 

Special seminars

will include “Venous Disease,” 10 a.m., Michael Hartley, MD; “Stress Less,” 11 a.m., Elizabeth Day, PhD, and Chandra Fears; “The Heart Truth,” 12 p.m., Brooke Greene, NP; “Gender Differences of the Heart,” 12 p.m., Santhi Adigopula, MD. Separate door prizes will be drawn at each seminar.
