ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Linking Vision with Tradition

Since May 12, 1921, Hamilton Medical Center has made compassionate, quality health care available to every citizen in our community…regardless of their ability to pay.

The Whitfield Healthcare Foundation was established in 1975 to encourage charitable gifts that support and advance the quality of health care provided by Hamilton Health Care System. As a not-for-profit, tax-exempt philanthropic corporation, the Foundation allocates charitable funds to facilities, equipment and programs to enhance patient care, promote health education, and improve the quality of life for all citizens of our community. Gifts of all types can be made to the Foundation, including cash paid in one sum or pledged over several years, bequests, securities, trusts, property, and life insurance.

Gifts to the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation are considered gifts of support from the community, gifts that acknowledge the importance of preserving and enhancing the health status of our community. Making a difference in the health of our region is what the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation is all about. Throughout the System, one can find sophisticated equipment and state-of-the-art facilities that have been made possible through the gifts of generous individuals and businesses which have made a difference in patient care.

Since its inception, the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation has touched the lives of thousands of people through its many educational programs and fund-raising projects. To date, the Foundation has raised over $12 million for capital projects.
