Food Choices
Most of us can improve our weight by being conscious of what we eat and making better choices. Keeping a food diary can help you determine where your weaknesses are.
General diet facts:
Fast foods tend to be served in larger portions. They generally contain more calories and unhealthy fats, and fewer nutritious ingredients, than homemade or restaurant meals.
Snack foods and sweet beverages, including juice and soft drinks, are specific problems that add to the increasing rates of obesity.
Fat tends to settle in certain regions, depending on gender. Women gain fat predominantly in the stomach, hips, and thighs, while men tend to gain fat in the belly and waist.
